Major fire at Saughton Mains Park,
Blocks 1 & 3

On Friday, 29th January, Lothian & Borders Fire & Rescue (L&BF&R) were on site, the fire was contained there were concerns with particular areas within the blocks.
Investigations were carried out to determine the cause of the fire. Both blocks 1 & 3 were damaged as a result of the fire with the majority of the damage contained within block 3. Roof demolition of both blocks has been carried out.
Amongst other things, there will be a race night planned for 19th March at Murrayfield Ice Rink to help raise funds for those directly affected by this incident. £5 a ticket. More details to follow. _____________________________________________________
