Welcome! - Please give us your comments, suggestions or let us know if you'd like us to investigate a community issue on your behalf.

Community Councils are run on a voluntary basis by local people
and represent EVERYONE living or working in the area.

 Meetings are normally held on the 3rd Wednesday of the
month, at 7pm; approx. 10 meetings per year.

 Meetings are usually held at Carrickvale Community Centre.

HOT TOPICS

Major fire at Saughton Mains Park, Blocks 1 & 3

On Friday, 29th January, Lothian & Borders Fire & Rescue (L&BF&R) were on site, the fire was contained there were concerns with particular areas within the blocks. Investigations were carried out to determine the cause of the fire.  Both blocks 1 & 3 were damaged as a result of the fire with the majority of the damage contained within block 3.  Roof demolition of both blocks has been carried out.

Amongst other things, there will be a race night planned for 19th March at Murrayfield Ice Rink to help raise funds for those directly affected by this incident. £5 a ticket. More details to follow. _____________________________________________________

Walkabout

We have regular walkabouts and are joined by various City of Edinburgh council officers, representing areas of Anti-Social Behaviour, Road and Pavements, and Environmental issues.

This lets us see what's happening in our area and to deal quickly with them. If you've got an issue or concern, please let us know!

Community Council Noticeboards

We regularly update our Noticeboards (located at Stenhouse Drive and Stenhouse Cross) - a Noticeboard located specifically within the Whitson area doesn't exist yet.
